In 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verses 4-11, to sum it up it says when Jesus comes, you should be awake and sober… If you think of it as your parents leave you home alone. They may not always tell you when they’re coming home, but you know they are coming, and it’s like Jesus, he’s not telling you when, but you know he’s coming. And you won’t know, it can be in 10 minutes or 100 years… you won’t know till it happens. And when he does come, do you want him to find you awake and sober or asleep and drunk. Just like when your parents leave you home alone. Do you want them to find you doing what your supposed to be doing or breaking their rules. Ask yourself and it you have two different answers then that’s not good. You should have the same answer for both, because it’s so important to follow directions and listen! But always remember Jesus loves you!
